I find that poetry is in motion whenever I go to the beach. I see my struggles represented in the manner nature shows herself to me. The high tides and low tides represent moments of turmoil and moments of serenity. The waves and the still waters represent the roller coaster-topsy turvy moments of my life. The view on the horizon represents the hope of a brighter tomorrow.
Think of this moment as if you were restructuring a business that’s special to you. In order to properly restructure, you have to audit and review what’s been done to know where to go and how to go about your new whereabouts. But for right now, let’s just reflect and rest.
As much as taking regular baths, deep cleaning the house, rearranging items, doing laundry, cleaning the oven before using it or even washing your hair helps to keep yourself and spaces clean – a cleanse of the mind, body and soul complements those other actions to create a holistic clean approach to life.
People are sad and depressed, man, Don’t guilt trip them because they’re sad on the “most wonderful time of the year”. Allow them space to feel what they feel, respond to stimuli accordingly and be comfortable doing it.
You may not have achieved some of your goals as yet because you have other assignments to complete first. It could also be that you’re lazy or not motivated enough – don’t get it twisted. However, there’s a reason. The onus is on you to perhaps revist your execution plan or even change the goal all together. Does your life’s trajectory lead to this particular goal? Does it synch? Does it add up? Think on these things. Cause, sometimes, we craft our goals and objectives out of jealousy and “badmine/badmind”. And, if we do that, failure is the only end in sight
We should totally listen to kids when they say they have to go (pee) and stop the foolishness about making them hold it. Holding it is torture.
We’ve seemed to fall into the trap of the acceptance of an abrupt end. There’s no opportunity to gather ourselves or the crumbs from the bread of the previous year to make something else in the new year.
