This post sees me putting our differences aside. All the issues that I have with you and your people are almost forgotten as I write to you for help. Yes, World, Candice K is asking for your help.

Okay. Time’s up. Back to the matter at hand.

I recently learned about a child in great need from my brother, “Drew Hew”, who is also behind Yaadinfo Lighter Side-of Jamaican News.

Nicardo suffers from a condition (as yet unknown) that has rendered him unable to walk or use his hands. As a result of this, he is unable to stand or even sit up on his own.

After 7 years of not being able to attend school, have fun with other children or do much on his own. Patricia Vincent, his mother, shares a heartbreaking story of not knowing there was anything wrong with her son until it was too late. When he was born, she says, no one told her he wouldn’t be able to walk or talk properly even though his condition has existed since birth. Now, she is his constant caregiver. While trying to earn for her family through a small shop she owns in her community in Montego Bay, Jamaica, she has to be with Nicardo throughout the day to ensure that he gets all the care he needs.

A wheelchair is the first step to Nicardo’s development. With this wheelchair, equipped with the necessary spinal support mechanism, as well as consistent physiotherapy sessions, he can be considered for school and make great strides in living with some semblance of normalcy. – Yaadinfo Lighter Side-of Jamaican News
