Love Letter #45 | Gasping for air

Dear World.

As I take steps to consistently water and sun myself, I struggle to breathe. Not enough of the necessary air has been circulating through my blood.

As a result of this, my breaths have been short and somewhat laboured.

No joke, this is as real as it is metaphorical.

This, too, is partially my fault as much as it is the fault of the world and they that dwell therein.

I have not watered or sunned or mulched or given myself enough fresh air to breathe.

On the flip side, the sun has been too strong, the air has been polluted and the soil has been contaminated – which leads to corrupted water supply. I have been gasping for air and foolishly decided against correcting. Like my roots, my lungs have been struggling a little bit to function.

My lack of self care and the unavailabilty of the right self care tools have contributed to my wilting spirit and my wilting health.

I took myslef to the blooming flowering plant doctor who gave me some tools to get back on track. I am being monitored and should go back shortly to see if I’ve improved or of more needs to be done.

Whew!

I say all that to say this:

Taking care of ourselves won’t work if we are not purposeful about self care. Taking care of oursleves will not work if the tools are not present or easily accessible.

If you find that you have wilted or that you’re wilting and the drive or means is not there, find your doctor and let them know what’s going on.

We sometimes need some outside help to help ourselves. That is more than okay!

Now, do an evaluation of your air quality, sun rays, soil toxicity and nutrient and water balance.

Signed with love,

Candice
